Sustainable Agriculture™

Valuing the environment and regional agriculture

Eco-responsible sourcing

Grown under our Sustainable Agriculture™ program, our flours are made from wheat cultivated within an agronomic framework. The specifications governing wheat production aim to reduce pesticide use and are monitored by our agronomy team. This framework allows for rigorous monitoring and full traceability of our products. This way of farming respects the environment while striving for the highest quality.

Supporting the transition to organic farming

The transition from conventional to organic farming involves risks. Aware of this reality, Les Moulins de Soulanges, through the Sustainable Agriculture™ program, provides agronomic support to growers enrolled in this 36-month transition process. In addition, Les Moulins de Soulanges offers a premium for transition wheat, valuable advice on fertilization, weed management and other farm management practices, as well as a guarantee on crop quality and yield.

A transition toward sustainable practices

Sustainable Agriculture™ wheat allows growers to begin a transition toward more responsible farming. The program supports the shift from conventional to organic management by encouraging the reduction, and eventual elimination, of pesticides. We require that wheat never be treated with pesticides, except in cases of force majeure threatening the harvest. This approach makes it possible to farm without chemical inputs while still ensuring abundant, high-quality harvests.

Traceability from field to mill

The Sustainable Agriculture™ program ensures documented tracking of every batch of wheat. Every batch is contracted and monitored by an independent agronomist, who records the agronomic details of each field. This close collaboration with our farming partners allows us to offer complete traceability. We know the origin of every batch and can easily trace the journey of our wheat.
